Danube Culture Dialogue

under preparation Danube Culture Dialogue (application for the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) Technical Assistance Facility for Danube Region Projects (TAF-DRP) call): In order to give a momentum to the implementation of the EUSDR for the programming period 2014-2020 and to support the preparation of projects with a clear EUSDR added value, the European Commission has decided to establish the TAF-DRP. The TAF-DRP is an EU grant scheme to develop project ideas relevant to the EUSDR, into „bankable/fundable” project concepts. Consultant services are provided free of charge to selected project applicants, up to a value of EUR 25.000 and for a duration of 6 months. PAC 10 Vienna is acting as „Managing Authority” for the purpose of this facility. Danube Cultural Cluster is applying for the TAF at PAC 3 with the project idea „Danube Culture Dialogue”: Our idea is to create a platform for culture consisting of (public) funding organisations responsible for strategic cultural planning in a permanent dialogue with the cultural scene - artists, cultural managers, project owners and their NGOs. The platform creates a permanent room for strategic policy exchange on cultural matters in the Danube area based on policy priorities both from policy/administration side as well as from the side of the NGOs mixing in a new approach top-down and bottom-up initiatives in order to best support the attractiveness and innovation potential of the Danube Region. The planned activities will contribute to professionalization and internationalization of cultural actors and entrepreneurs. Project partners: Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, the Arts and Culture (BMUKK), Ministry for Science, Research and the Arts of the State Baden-Württemberg, Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, Romania (tbc)
